About the Faculty

Evan Courtin

Evan, our Associate Teacher, works with our Fiddling Club and is teaching several group classes this year, as well as teaching private lessons. Evan:

Became a Suzuki student at the age of 5
Is certified by the Suzuki Association of the Americas in Suzuki Unit 1
Earned his Bachelor of Arts in Music from Buffalo State College in 2016, where he also served as Concertmaster for the BSC Philharmonia
Is the violinist for Wooden Cities, a local contemporary chamber ensemble
Performs with several WNY bands, and in theatrical productions at venues including Lancaster Opera House, Theater of Youth and Zodiaque Dance Company
Also teaches at Buffalo String Works, benefitting refugee children in our community

Sarah Asbach

Sarah is the Administrative Assistant to our director. She is also an assistant during our Group Classes and co-teaching our Babies & Tots in Rhythm alongside Eloisa. Sarah:

Became a Suzuki student at the age of 5
Is certified by the Suzuki Association of the Americas in Suzuki Early Childhood Education
Serves as a Practice Partner for our younger students
Plays with the Presto! Advanced Ensemble
Sang with ABC Bel Canto choir
Currently studies Accounting at the University of Buffalo
