Evan Courtin, Associate Violin Teacher
Evan has been teaching with Suzuki Violinists of WNY for 6 years. He is also a composer and an active performer in and around the Western New York region. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Music at Buffalo State College and is a member of the Suzuki Association of the Americas certified in Units 1-3 and continues to receive long-term training from Eloisa Raffel. Evan is also a Teaching Artist at Buffalo String Works, which provides rigorous music instruction and a creative home to refugee, immigrant, and historically marginalized youth, where he primarily works with young beginner violinists. He can be found playing locally with Wooden Cities, The Evolution of the Arm, Liminal Space Ensemble, and Little Cake, among others.
Evan has two cats named Buddy and Guy. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis, crossword puzzles, and occasionally hosting online trivia events.
